Friends of St Alban’s (FoSA)

At St Alban’s Catholic Voluntary Academy, we are supported by a dedicated group of parents, staff, and community members who make up the Friends of St Alban’s group (FoSA). This vibrant team plays a vital role in building our school community, fostering friendships, and supporting our mission of Learning, Loving, and Living together, side by side with God.

What is FoSA?

FoSA is our Parent Teacher Association (PTA), open to everyone who is part of our school community. The group’s goal is simple: to enrich school life for all pupils by organising events, fundraising for essential resources, and strengthening the ties between families, staff, the Parish of St Alban’s and the wider community.

What do FoSA do?

FoSA organises a variety of exciting events and activities throughout the year, including:

  • St Albansbury: Our summertime annual event, enjoyed by hundreds of community member.
  • School Discos: A chance for pupils to let their hair down and enjoy music, dancing, and fun with friends.
  • Family and Parent-Only Events: Evenings of laughter, friendly competition, and community spirit.
  • Themed Fundraisers: From Mothers and Others or Lads and Dads events, to cake sales and sponsored events, FoSA ensures there’s always something exciting happening.
  • Community Events: Working on projects like our community allotment or supporting local charities with the aim to living out our values of service and love.

Why Get Involved?

Joining FoSA is a fantastic way to:

  • Make a Difference: Every penny raised goes directly to supporting our pupils, whether it’s new equipment, classroom resources, or enriching extracurricular activities.
  • Build Connections: Meet other parents, staff and members of the wider community, while strengthening our sense of togetherness.
  • Have Fun: From planning events to attending them, FoSA activities are enjoyable and rewarding.
