Parent, Staff and Governor Working Party

At St Alban’s Catholic Voluntary Academy, we believe that strong partnerships between parents, staff and governors are key to creating an cohesive school community. Our Parent, Staff and Governor Working Party plays an important role in shaping the future of our school by providing valuable feedback and enabling collaboration.

What We Do

This group meets every half term to discuss and provide input on a wide range of topics, including:

  • School policies and practices
  • Communication with families
  • Strategies to improve the school experience for pupils and their families
  • Review surveys and parent feedback
  • New initiatives and key areas for development.

Through open and constructive discussions, the working party helps school leaders gain insight into the needs and perspectives of our community. The feedback and ideas shared during these meetings lead to clear actions that are implemented by school leaders to make meaningful improvements.

Why It Matters

The working party is a vital link between families, staff and school leaders. By working together, we ensure that the voices of parents and carers are heard, and that decisions reflect the shared values and aspirations of our community. This collaborative approach supports our mission of Learning, Loving and Living together, side by side with God, and helps us continue to provide the best possible education and care for all our pupils.

How to Get Involved

We welcome participation from parents and carers who are passionate about making a positive impact on our school for the benefit of all. If you would like to join the working party or find out more about what we do, please contact the school office.

Together, we are building a stronger, more connected school community for the benefit of every child and family within the St Alban’s community.
