Welcome Parents

We’re delighted to welcome you to the dedicated parents’ section of the St Alban’s Catholic Voluntary Academy website. This space has been designed with you in mind, providing all the information, resources, and updates you need to support your child’s journey with us.

As parents and carers, you are the first educators of your child and play vital part of our school community, so that together, we can help your child learn, love, and live in the spirit of our mission: Learning, Loving and Living together, side by side with God.

What You’ll Find Here

This section of the website is your go-to hub for everything related to your child’s school life, including:

  • Important Updates: Stay informed with the latest news, events, and announcements.
  • Key Dates: Keep track of term dates, events, and deadlines.
  • Parent Resources: Find helpful guides, tips, and tools to support your child’s learning and wellbeing.

Communication

At St Alban’s Catholic Voluntary Academy, we value clear and effective communication with our families to keep you informed and engaged in your child’s school life.

Class Dojo

We use Class Dojo for day-to-day class updates, reminders, and school information, creating a direct link between teachers and parents.

Texts and Emails

For quick reminders, links, and urgent messages, we send text alerts to ensure you don’t miss important updates. Additionally, we provide a detailed weekly bulletin via email, keeping you informed about upcoming school events, activities, and key updates. By using these communication tools, we aim to ensure every parent feels connected and well-informed.

Our Commitment to You

At St Alban’s, we are committed to working in partnership with parents and carers to provide the best possible education and care for every child. Together, we nurture their character, foster their faith, and equip them with the behaviours, skills and values needed for life in today’s world.

Get Involved

We encourage all parents to be actively involved in our school community. Whether it’s attending events, joining the Friends of St Alban’s group, discussing policy and practice with our Parent, Staff and Governor Working Party, or volunteering, your contribution helps us create a thriving, supportive environment for all our pupils, enabling them to reach their full potential.

Thank you for trusting us with your child’s education and development. We are here to support you every step of the way. If there’s anything you can’t find on this page or if you’d like further assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Thank you so much for helping to make our Book Bus visit such a wonderful success yesterday. The children were absolutely delighted to climb aboard, explore the wide range of books available, and choose new reads to enjoy at home or add to their future library wish lists. Their enthusiasm for reading was a joy to see.

What a lovely start to 2026! It has been a wonderful week, made even more special by the opportunity to celebrate Mass together as a whole school community as we celebrated the Feast of the Epiphany. It was lovely to see so many parents and parishioners join us also.

Year 6 have had a wonderful experience at The Briars this week, working with the NDCYS team! We have been so proud of the way they have supported each other and shown so many of our school's character behaviours throughout their time here, making precious memories as they train to be Agents of Love! #ndcys #learninglovingliving
